Roof Sealing Resin: Arcafilm Tile - 2.5 L - Arcane Industries

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Roof and Roof Sealing Resin: Arcafilm sealing paint is a resin-based paint that makes a surface waterproof. This roofing sealant forms an elastic coating. It is intended to restore or perfect the waterproofing of porous or cracked materials that make up roofs without water stagnation (minimum slope). Our ARCAFILM resin has a technical opinion from the CSTB for masonry surfaces (see the box below). Made in France in our Arcane Industries factory. PRODUCT BENEFITS Forms a flexible coating that adapts to all shapes, without joints or seams. Adheres perfectly to all surfaces, without heating or gluing. Allows for multiple punctual interventions or treatments on very large surfaces with the same effectiveness. Exceptional elasticity: supports very important elongations without breaking. It is as easy to apply as a paint and forms a continuous film, which eliminates all possible risks of infiltration Easy and quick application, does not require the use of specialized labor or sophisticated application equipment. Excellent resistance to aging, weathering, UV rays, and temperature variations (-20°C to +80°C). Allows materials to breathe; permeable to water vapor (microporous). For roofs with a slope (more than 3%), vaults, domes, roof terraces, terraces, repair of broken materials, construction or expansion joints, gutters, and downspouts, chimney bases, flashing, connections, wall corners, eaves. Resistant to efflorescence and cracking. Aesthetic waterproofing, adapting to the color of the support. Contains no bituminous products. CSTB reports available upon request (for building professionals only) Cleaning is safe for all types of tasks with our ARCANE 235 cleaner IMPORTANT CSTB TECHNICAL OPINION: The ARCAFILM ARMÉ process is a reinforced visible sealing system applied in liquid form, consisting of a single-component resin dispersed in water and a reinforcement. The process is intended for new and renovation work in plain areas, on masonry structural elements without insulation, in gray color. A zero slope is allowed. It adheres to the support and is intended to ensure the waterproofing of inaccessible roof terraces in areas with low and medium hygrometry in mainland France. USE Roofs, sloping roof terraces, not passable or with very occasional traffic. Do not use Arcafilm on a horizontal surface subject to water stagnation. In case of water stagnation, choose our Arcathan resin, which is a roof terrace sealing solution. Also discover our roof sealing paint, which, in addition to being very effective against water stagnation, considerably reduces heat. To create a waterproof underlayment on a support with a non-zero slope, see the Arcafilm SC product. To create a waterproof underlayment on a support with a zero slope, see the Arcathan SC product. If you want to waterproof and encapsulate a cement-fiber roof with asbestos, we recommend our specific Arcacover Asbestos Insulation resin. If you want a simple paint for your roof and you do not want the waterproofing function, we recommend our roof paint: Arcatoiture ELIGIBLE MATERIALS Suitable for any porous or cracked roofing material without water stagnation, such as concrete, tiles, or metal. Ensure the material is clean and dry before application. Choose a sealant compatible with the roofing material; some are not suitable for metal roofs. If unsure, consult a roofing professional. APPLICATION Follow the manufacturer's instructions for applying the sealant. In general, the sealant should be applied in a thin, even layer. It is important to avoid applying the sealant too thickly, as this can cause it to crack or peel. After applying the sealant, allow it to dry completely before exposing it to water. The drying time will vary depending on the type of sealant and the weather conditions. MAINTENANCE Regularly inspect the roof for any signs of damage or wear. If you find any damage, repair it as soon as possible. You can also apply a new coat of sealant every few years to help protect the roof from the elements. STORAGE Store the sealant in a cool, dry place. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets. DISPOSAL Dispose of the sealant in accordance with local regulations. SAFETY Always wear appropriate safety gear when applying sealant, including gloves, eye protection, and a respirator. If you have any questions about applying sealant, consult with a roofing professional. RECOMMENDATIONS ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS: It should not be applied at temperatures below +5°C or above 35°C, or in the event of rain or frost, or on overheated surfaces, or in windy conditions. These conditions must be respected during the 24 hours following application. It becomes insensitive to water in approximately 24 hours, at a temperature of about 20°C and a relative humidity of 65%. The drying time will be longer if the air humidity is higher and the temperature is lower. It is not recommended to apply Arcafilm during periods of high humidity. Application during rainy periods should be avoided. Applying in rainy or saturated conditions results in very long drying times and a risk of leaching. If the waterproofing work is urgent, reduce the thickness of the layers and increase the number of layers to respect the total consumption. If possible, cover with tarpaulin. PROTECTION This product does not require any special protection DRYING Primer: between 2 and 4 hours Pure layer: between 4 and 6 hours The pure layers can be covered after a minimum of 24 hours. Allow 24 hours to dry between layers (see Technical Data Sheet). Note: The success of all waterproofing work depends largely on the proper preparation of the surfaces. MAINTENANCE Use a classic detergent or our specific Industrial Floor Cleaner. The recommended dilution is 50% (50% water - 50% product). The dilution should be adjusted according to the nature of the dirt. CONSUMPTION We emphasize the importance of respecting the amount applied to ensure proper waterproofing: Either 1.2 liters per m² in 2 layers (in addition to the diluted primer) and cross passes (in weight = 1.5 kg per m²), or 1.5 liters per m² in 2 layers (in addition to the diluted primer) and cross passes if Arcatissu is applied (in weight = 2 kg per m²). It is necessary to apply the recommended quantities to ensure the effectiveness of the product. If you cannot apply the recommended amount in 3 layers, you must increase the number of layers. The most important thing is to respect the recommended consumption. RECOMMENDED CONSUMPTION IN THE CONTEXT OF THE CSTB TECHNICAL OPINION For roof terraces inaccessible with general reinforcement, in plain areas, in gray color: Primer: ARCAFILM resin diluted with 40% water. Drying 24 hours Waterproofing (1st layer): ARCAFILM resin applied at a rate of 1.5 kg/m², fresh on fresh, application of 800 g/m², then direct application of ARCATISSU and application of 700 g/m². Finish (2nd layer): ARCAFILM resin applied at a rate of 1 kg/m², application after 24 hours of drying of the 1st layer. This corresponds to: approximately 2 liters /m² (2.5 kg/m²) for 2 layers. For 2.5 KG/M²: 2 mm in fresh and about 1.3 mm in dry. Storage It must be stored away from frost. It can be stored for 1 year in the original closed packaging.
